Paul Oestreicher, PhD, is a strategic communications and public affairs advisor, writer, and educator. Before becoming an independent consultant, he held executive roles at start-ups, global companies, and consulting firms. His work spans crisis and reputation management, executive counsel, thought leadership, team development, stakeholder engagement, message development, and communication strategy for organizations navigating change, scrutiny, or complex public issues.
Oestreicher was also an adjunct professor in New York University’s MS Program in Public Relations & Corporate Communication, where he taught Strategic Communication, Research Process & Methodology, and Communication Ethics, Law & Regulation. He received NYU’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
He is the author of Camelot, Inc.: Leadership and Management Insights from King Arthur and the Round Table and frequently writes about communication, leadership, healthcare, science, politics, trust, change, ethics, apology making, and reputation.
Oestreicher is also a reading and literacy volunteer and an inventor with five toy patents. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Rochester, a PhD in nutritional sciences from Rutgers University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmacology at Wyeth Laboratories, now part of Pfizer.
